CARVICO’s new VITA fabric powered by next generation LYCRA® SPORT technology

Aug 18, 2016

CARVICO, a global leader in the development and production of high performance non-run stretch fabrics, introduces VITA fabric with LYCRA® SPORT certification for cycling apparel. LYCRA® SPORT fabric technology is scientifically engineered to deliver exceptional comfort, fit and support to stretch activewear.

Already experienced with the first generation of LYCRA® SPORT technology, CARVICO is an early adopter of its next generation version that offers:

  • Robust compression support that can be tailored to fit any end-use activity
  • Innovative new Energy Index that adds advanced fabric properties to performance garments
  • Streamlined Fabric Certification Process that allows you to use free LYCRA® brand hangtags to clearly communicate fabric benefits to consumers
  • Enhanced value when combined with other LYCRA® brand products that offer additional benefits

Fabric technology matters to active consumers and athletes like Italian cyclist Filippo Pozzato (pictured). As VITA fabric’s new brand ambassador, he wore prototype cycling apparel made with new VITA fabric during three months of intensive training in all types of weather. At the end of testing, which included daily washing and drying at high temperatures, his garments still looked like new and retained their original shape and compression strength. Now Pozzato will be featured in a video and brochure promoting the cycling world launch of VITA fabric at the EUROBIKE fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

The race is on to help athletes take their performance to the next level with high-tech fabrics that are especially designed for specific sports. Don’t be left behind. Mills can pull ahead of the pack by adding LYCRA® SPORT technology to fabrics now, and brands that select these fabrics to create high performance apparel will attract athletes and consumers who want to gain a competitive advantage.
